SUCCESSFUL VISIT TO TALLINN

Staff from ST Airborne Systems demonstrate a new solution for upgrade of sea charts in the system.

Recently two of our senior software engineers visited Tallinn to support the Estonian Police and Border Guard (EPBG) with updates to their MSS 7000 airborne surveillance system, which they operated for the last six years. Together with the customer, they implemented key improvements based on EPBG’s requests. The visit also included a demonstration of a new sea chart system, as EPBG considers upgrading to a more advanced solution.

EPBG has been using our airborne surveillance systems since 2008, flying missions for environmental monitoring, pollution control, border security, and search and rescue. Our MSS 7000 integrates advanced radar (search radar & SLAR), electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR), IR/UV sensors, and other surveillance tools. It delivers real-time data and enhanced situational awareness, making it easier to detect and track vessels, oil spills, and maritime incidents. The system streamlines decision-making and improves the accuracy of operations.

We always appreciate the opportunity to meet with our customers, gather feedback, and continuously improve our systems. Earlier this year, EPBG’s Beech 350 surveillance aircraft underwent maintenance at Bromma Air Maintenance (BAM), ensuring continued operational readiness.
